Transitions

These past two years—since you last received a letter from us—have been a time of seeking God, a time of new life and transitions. We have changed locations across town and grown in number: we have six children and four grandchildren.

The biggest transition has been the formal beginning of a Christian College. Last June our kids came to us and asked, "Do you want to buy a college campus?" We began writing the programs and raising the funds for a college. We have made a lot of progress: we filed our incorporation with Idaho and began the 501 (c) 3 filings, we have a solid board, a web site, applications, and many other documents. We do not have the funds to buy a campus yet, but God has been doing some amazing things. There are days we think that this is too big and God speaks very specifically to us encouraging us to continue. The college needs to be an example to the community of God's providence. Please check our website www.albionchristian.com and sign up to pray for, and if God leads you, to support us.

God's providence has also been evident in our personal lives. Diane has been working at Magic Valley Christian School for the past two and one-half years. She strongly felt that God wanted her to let the board know that she would not be returning next year. Consequently, three teachers applied for her position, and she will be leaving MVCS on January 11. We had been praying that God would direct in His timing, so we are clinging to Him to be Jehovah Jireh as we face this transition.

Andrew's transition has been great: he was married on August 12, 2006 and became a daddy on August 22, 2007. Katy Kesler was a Youth With A Mission friend of Andrew's and is a loving and encouraging addition to our family as our daughter-in-law. We are eagerly looking forward to seeing our new grandson, Peter Randall. Andrew will complete his Masters of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Texas in Tyler on December 16th. We rejoice in these transitions in Andrew and Katy's lives and pray as he seeks a permanent teaching position on the college level.

Weston and Rachel McCarron's transitions are involved growth in their family and in responsibilities. They have their own business which includes real estate, construction, radio engineering and tower technology. They are very involved in their church, in ministry, in politics and with Albion Christian College (ACC). They have two sons, Silas (twenty months old) and newborn Jobe (pronounced as Job in the Bible), and a daughter Ruth (four years old).

Exa's transitions will be coming this year. Exa works at Alltel (a cell phone company) and has a permanent boyfriend, Cole. They are planning a June wedding and then going to Namibia, Africa, so Cole can study pottery with our friend John Hunter.

Nathanael had his last concert in the Chan Centre in Vancouver, BC last weekend. We drove his car up for the concert (which made our Christmas season) and flew home. Nathanael will be moving home at Christmas to work with McCarron Construction and ACC. We will return to Canada in April for his graduation from Trinity Western University.

We look forward to hearing what God is doing in your lives. Please be in prayer for us as we face monumental changes in the coming year: that we would follow Jesus closely. Sign up on our website so you can be encouraged with us in what God is doing.

Love,

Randall and Diane Davis
