Little Encouragements

We have been receiving little encouragements over the last week, whether from individuals interested in taking classes who we had not contacted before or from old friends finding us online. Albion Christian College is becoming a work larger than the sum of its parts, but it is not so yet. We still need prayer and encouragement as we go forward with the work that God is doing in southern Idaho.

We are almost moved into the house. This has been both a tremendous strain and help: it allows us to have room to work which was impossible in the smaller house, but has eaten up almost all of this month. I am performing with the Magic Valley Symphony this Friday night at 7:30 (come if you are in the area) and mom and I are performing with the Youth Symphony on Saturday. A musical time, and a time to finish the move and rest a bit in preparation for the big push to open full time in the Fall.

A four year time gap

Today, as my parents were unpacking, dad pulled out the clock that he forgot they had. It always sat on top of the piano, but has been in a box for the last four years and is still on time. Other things we have found so far that we thought had disappeared: one metronome, one awesome wool overcoat, an entire set of China dishes as well as enough tea cups to host a small island (Britain?). We have also found many books that mom and dad were looking for in order to do research and writing, as well as enough music that mom and I can run studios out of the house without doing much buying. We have also found that you can have two entire houses full of boxes and still need more.

Well, that pretty much sums up what we have found,
Thanks to all the wonderful people who have helped us in the move, especially Dr. Wisniewski and family.

Keep us in your prayers, we hope to be able to work more efficiently and passionately now that we have a little more space and a little less boxes.

Students, Moving and Lessons

We have opened one room in the new house for the purpose of teaching lessons on voice, violin and piano. The rest of the house, on the other hand, is rather overrun still. We will work to get the clutter up and out of the way in time for the prayer meeting on Friday night.

Exciting things are happening here at ACC, keep reading the blog, keep praying for us and feel free to volunteer and/or donate to help the educational work God is doing in southern Idaho.
God bless,

Albion Christian College invites community members to come to a worship and prayer night, Friday, February 22, 2008 at 146 10th Ave East, Jerome ID. We will start at 7:00 and go till 9. This is a time for seeking God concerning this area, concerning Albion Christian College, and concerning the local church.

Moving

We are currently moving the office work of Albion Christian College to a slightly larger building to aid us in doing the copious amounts of work which needs to be done.

We are editing the Bylaws and are going to start writing both Student and Faculty Handbooks for the 2008 school year.
Keep us in your prayers,

Board Meeting: February 11, 2008

We had an excellent Board Meeting tonight. While short, we had a good time of prayer and passed the substance of ACC's Bylaws with provision for editing and formatting before we lock it in. Expect to see the Bylaws posted here or on the site within a week.

Also, if you have prayer requests, feel free to email them to me or any of the Board Members as we are praying regularly.

While the newsletter has been irregular in timing the last few months, we are going to be more consistent. The next newsletter should be sent tonight with March's newsletter coming out mid-March.

We are going to finish up all our paperwork with the IRS over the next week as well as start working on Curriculum for opening in September. 8 months till we open full time!!!

Keep us in your prayers.

Website Updates

I updated some of RTP's website and will continue to do so, stay tuned. The Newsletter for December is on ACC's website under Staying Informed and will be available there for the next few weeks.

Some Classes and Some not

We had class in Twin Falls on Tuesday with four students and we went to Burley yesterday to hold class. One highly attended, one good read. We had no students show up, but we got to have some good conversations with the owners of Lost But Found bookstore and Alice's Coffee in Burley. Dad was discussing moral government with the owner's son while I was lost in a beautiful land of books. While the class may not be happening due to a lack of recruiting last week because I was in Canada and dad was in bed with an over 100 degree fever, I look forward to continuing ACC's business relationship with Dave and Alice Long, the owners of Lost But Found books and Alice's Coffee. If you are ever in Burley and want the best cup of coffee in Idaho (according to the Idaho Statesman) and a nice read or to pick up a book, check them out at 1332 Albion Ave.

Also, keep an eye on Revival Theology Promotion as we are in the process of updating the website and starting production again.

1st Class

Yesterday we had our first classes in Twin Falls: a one credit Greek class and a three credit Apologetics. Four students showed up to one or both of the classes. We have the same classes tomorrow in Burley ID. It is exciting to see God continuing to move the vision and the actuality of Albion Christian College forward.

List Consolidation

We combined two email lists: one from our most recent campaign to raise pledges and one from our email list we made up this summer. We now have an email list of over 150 people interested in ACC: in supporting, in praying, in staying informed. It is exciting that we have so many people interested in helping the college and in praying for it.

1st Week

We begin our first week of classes on Tuesday. I am here in Canada for a little while longer to do research on the processes we need to complete in order to make this college a reality. The next day of good weather where I can go over the pass is Sunday. I will work on starting a full time recruitment schedule as soon as I get back to Idaho as well as raising funds so that we can remain competitive with the public universities and not have our students go into debt. God bless you all, keep us in your prayers.
