The mission statement is online as well as the statement of faith .
Now that these have been officially adopted by the board, we are going to work on bylaws and on promotional materials which explain how we are going to fulfill the mission of Albion Christian College. Stay Tuned!

1st Board Meeting

We had our first board meeting today. Gene Wisniewski, Diane Davis, Randall Davis, Weston McCarron and Nathanael Davis were gathered around a phone here in Idaho. Tom Lukashow was on the phone in Florida, Mick Wolfe in Pennsylvania, and Ted Fields in Texas.
We passed the Statement of Faith, the Mission Statement, and the non-discrimination clause. Keep an eye on the website as we will be adding many things in the next few days and going ahead full steam with the college work.
ACC has hired its first employee for the purpose of fundraising and speaking about the college. Randall Davis was hired by the board unanimously for the purpose of preparing to open the college in September 2008.
We will be having our next meeting in August and the board asked for several things to be done by the next meeting, including more information on our vision, mission, and how we intend to implement them.

More Random Paperwork

While I was typing up the 501C-3 Application last night, I let the computer sit still and lost the site where I was filling it in. Eight hours of work. Gone. Lucky for me most of what I had filled in was written down so it did not take nearly as long the second time. Thank God.
After that we emailed an accountant our application for 501 C -3 tax exemption last night. While doing it we found out that we have to publish the fact thatwe are not discriminatory. This is pretty easily done, especially since we do not plan on discriminating on basis of gender, race, or age.
